Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has carved his name into football history after being crowned African Player of the Year 2017 in a thrilling event held at the prestigious State House Banquet Hall, Accra, Ghana. In the women category, Nigerian Asisat Oshoala was voted Player of the Year.
This CAF awards is sponsored by the Nigerian Energy Solution Company, Aiteo Group.
Amongst the highlights of the event were the presence of past winners of the CAF Player of the Year Award. Likewise, top African music stars like Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Flavour, Wizkid, Olamide, Patoranking, Fali Ipupa and many other top acts were all on hand to entertain the guests.
