It’s another Friday and we have selected some of our favorite movies showing in cinemas this weekend for you.
Aquaman: If you haven’t seen Aquaman what exactly are you waiting for? It is a fast paced action filled movie about Arthur Curry who learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world.
Lionheart: This movie is not showing in cinemas but if you haven’t seeing Lionheart WYD??? Please subscribe to Netflix and support our good sis, Genevieve Nnaji, you’ll definitely enjoy the movie. Lionheart tells the story Adaeze, the daughter of a business mogul who steps up to the challenge when her father is forced to take a step back due to health issues.
Knock Out Blessing: This movie was released in December 2018. It is an intriguing tale about a girl named Blessing, whose ambition to achieve her dream and escape poverty, take her down a path that leads into the criminal underworld, and finally face to face with the underbelly of the Nigerian political system.
Up North: “Up North” explores love, friendship and family politics, all of which collide, creating memories to last a lifetime. It tells the story of a young rebellious heir (Banky W) who gets sent to Bauchi for his NYSC assignment as a punishment for defying his father. Featuring Banky Wellington, Adesua Etomi, Rekiya Attah, Kanayo O. Kanayo
Chief Daddy “Chief Daddy” tells the story of billionaire industrialist Chief Beecroft, a flamboyant benefactor to a large extended family of relatives, household staff and assorted mistresses. It features some of Nigeria’s biggest stars such as Funke Akindele, Zainab Balogun, Ini Edo, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Kate Henshaw, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Falz, Beverly Naya, Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah, Rachel Oniga, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, and Joke Silva
