Everyday Lagos is expanding and fancy estates, residential buildings, hotels and tourists areas are sprouting up faster than grass. What is the human cost of this? We have seen the Lagos state government forcefully uproot people from their communities, and burnt down homes for these fancy buildings. It is explained away with the fact that Lagos is growing into a mega city, so who belongs in a city? Only the rich?
