Beverly Naya’s “Skin” to open 2019 iREP documentary film festival

Beverly Naya’s new documentary film, “Skin” has been announced as the opening film for the 2019 iREP international film festival.

An excited Beverly made the announcement on Instagram saying: “Yay! Our first festival ?? Pleased to announce that @SkinTheDocumentary is an official selection of this year’s iREP International Documentary Film Festival. Here’s to many more festivals to come by God’s Grace ?? Huge thank you to @FemiOdugbemi and the entire iREP team for the recognition!

In an interview with Pulse, Beverly said “I mean this is an honour for us and a very big step for ‘Skin’. Our documentary was selected and has been chosen as the opening documentary film.”

“Skin” is a film about colorism in Africa by Beverly and Etim Effiong. It features Eku Edewor, Diana Yekini, Phyno, Bobrisky and other Nigerian celebrities that shared their views on colourism.
