Bole Festival takes over Port Harcourt
During any of my visits to the city if port Harcourt, the high points are usually connected to the various delicacies associated with the city life. Without much story, Bole is without fail one of everyone’s preference especially when the platter is well prepared and garnished with the signature peppered sauce and greens added to a nice chunk of roast/grilled fish.
Bole Festival is an annual food fair targeted at the promotion and exhibition of rich and unique preparations of roasted indigenous delicacies. Bole as a street food is a simple but well prepared roasted plantain, spicy pepper sauce and fish.
Over the weekend, the second edition of the Bole Festival held with the gathering of a mammoth crowd of food enthusiasts from all over the country and abroad in search of fun and a full stomach to celebrate Bole.
During the fanfare held at the Dr. Obi Wali International Convention Centre in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. About 6000 food lovers from all around the world were present to commemorate the food fare; celebrating Bole and buying food at very subsidized rates.
Aside Bole stands, there were other food exhibitions, music and comedy, food competitions, fun and games.
