It’s another weekend fellow Lagosians so here is a list of curated activities we think you should attend in Lagos.
1. The Lagos Poetry Café: Join some of the finest poets in Lagos this Saturday at the Lagos Poetry Café- an intimate, informal, evening of poetry and banter. Efe Paul, Wana Udobang, Afope Ojo, Chika Jones, Rex Tha Poet, Obii Ifejika, Adesola Fakile, and Sheila Ojei will be reading their poems. The host, Efe Paul Azino invites you to “Bring a poem, bring laughter, we’ll read, drink and hang. Come and see”. The venue is 26, Moloney Street, Ikoyi and entry is free.
2. T.A.P (Talk About Poe) Go join Mavin Records Star, Poe in an intimate live session and conversation at 16 Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos today from 6pm to 11pm. Gate fee is N5,000
3. Fela and the Kalakuta Queens: The amazing Fela and the Kalakuta Queens is back again! If you have missed previous shows or you want to see it again (it’s amazing like that) then don’t miss out on this one. It is showing at the New African Shrine on Sunday by 7pm. Gate fee is N1,000
4. Game Yard: Calling all gamers to join this community of gamers in Lagos, play games, network, meet new people, and have fun. According to the organizers “We are aiming to build a gaming community for Lagosians. On Saturday the 13th of October, 2018. We are having an event called “Game yard” at the eve restaurant in Victoria Island. We bring the Televisions and the guests bring their video game consoles and CDs. It is also a platform for individuals to exchange video games. The only catch is No FIFA of PES will be played on that day. The purpose of this is to introduce the average Lagosian gamer to video games other than football sims. Entry is free.
