#ManCrushMonday: Jason Njoku – The one who didn’t give up
Born on the 11th of December 1980, Jason Chukwuma Njoku is a Nigerian entrepreneur, film magnate, and a start-up investor. He is the co-founder and CEO of the internet company iROKOtv, one of the early video-on-demand movie platforms for Nigerian movies. He is also a startup investor with investments in several budding startups in Nigeria.
Jason came up with the iROKOtv idea when he was still living with his mother at 30 after he had failed a number of enterprises, in fact, iROKOtv was his 11th attempt at starting a business.
In July 2012, he was named by Forbes Africa as one of the ten Young African Millionaires to watch out for. He has also been named as one of Fast Company’s Top 1000 Most Creative People in Business.
Jason is also the founder of Spark, a $2 million investment company for Lagos based internet start-ups. Some of Spark’s initial investments include Tolet.com.ng, Hotels.ng, Drinks.ng amongst other.
