#ManCrushMonday: Odunlade Adekola, the meme king
Everyone loves our #MCM even those who may not be ardent followers of Yoruba movies. Aside being a great actor, Odunlade Adekola has a face that is so expressive and funny that a lot of shots have been clipped out of some of his movie scenes to make rib-cracking memes.
Tall, dark and handsome Odunlade was born on 31 December 1978 at Abeokuta in Ogun state. He is an award-winning Nigerian movie actor, singer, film-maker, producer and director as well as the CEO of (Odunlade Adekola Film Production) OAFP. He is especially known for his roles in Sunday Dagboru, Alani Pamolekun, Mufu Oloosha oko, Oyenusi, Samu Alajo to name just a few.
At a very young age in his local church ( Christ Apostolic Church Lafenwa, Abeokuta), Odunlade acted along with his friend during special church celebrations, but went into acting as a career proper in acting in 1996, the same year he joined the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts practitioners under the tutelage of the late Nollywood actor and producer Isola Durojaiye (also known as Alasari).
Some of the awards he has recieved include City People Entertainment Awards Best Actor of the Year YORUBA (2009), Gen Chochona Tallest Award 1901, City People Entertainment Awards Best Actor of the Year (2011), City People Entertainment Awards Best Actor of the Year (2014), City People Entertainment Awards Best Actor of the Year (2015), African Magic Movie Award for Best Actor, African Magic Movie Award for Best Existing Actor in the movie Pepeye Meje.
