#WomanCrushWednesday: The makeup surgeon, Anita Brows
Our #WCW today is none other than Adetola Anita Adetoye, the award-winning creative director of Anita Brows Beauty. A Makeup Surgeon and Beauty Educator.
The petite, elegant and suave damsel grew up in Ireland, studied journalism at Ballyfermont College, in Dublin; media production at Lewisham College, London, and marketing in Dublin Business School. She kicked off her makeup business about eight years ago, 2010, in Dublin, Ireland then relocated to Nigeria, Lagos in 2014. She self-tutored into make-up artistry and beautification; something she had been interested in since her college days.
For an industry that is already saturated, Anita as silent but consistent achiever made her mark and highlights in her career include when ex-model & owner of Iman Cosmetics, Iman Abdulmajid recognised her work and posted it on her social media page, winning a recognition award in Uganda as best Makeup Artist in West Africa, opening her own Makeup and Beauty Studio making the Forbes List of 30 Under 30 Influencers in Africa and being a The Future Awards Winner: PRIZE FOR BEAUTY.
Apart from giving professional face beats, Anita also runs Makeup master classes where she teaches interested students some of her techniques and as a beauty influencer and entrepreneur, she has a followership of about 129 thousand on Instagram where she posts her works and tutorials.
She’s is the regular brain behind Toke Makinwa’s top-notch face beats and over the years she has worked on brides, for television commercials, private clients, photo shoot, the list goes on. I’ve worked on personalities such as Stephanie Coker, Annie Idibia Tonto Dikeh, Bella Adenuga, Juliet Ibrahim and list goes on.
The fascinating thing about her creative ability is her knack for giving different looks such as her makeup never looks the same way making all her works unique all of the time
